Hire a wedding planner
I cannot say this enough: hire a wedding planner or day-of coordinator. It is a wedding planner’s job to make sure your day goes smoothly and that all vendors are handled without you having to lift a finger. They will take such a load off your shoulders and if you were to take only one thing from this post, it would be it. It’s going to make the biggest impact during your wedding day.
Delegate to your bridesmaids
I know by experience that relying on your bridesmaids will be a huge plus on your wedding day. They will make sure you are personally taken care of. They are the water/snack girls or the ones who can update you and others/give messages so you don’t have to check your phone. Believe me you don’t want to be anywhere near your phone unless you really have to.
Keep Hydrated
It’s often overlooked because of the busy-ness of the day but I know that a hydrated bride is a happy bride so I need to say it again, drink your water 🙂
Bring comfortable dancing shoes
I really believe that though Jimmy Choos are beautiful for the ceremony and detail shots… But you are going to regret not being comfy while dancing the night away. Plus, who wants to have blisters the next day and on their honeymoon?
Consider doing a private last dance
I know it is a fairly new concept. A private last dance is an amazing way to soak in the day you just had and close it in a way that makes time stand still. You won’t regret it and you’ll give your guests time to get set for your send-off.
